Few models are generating as much excitement at Don White’s Timonium Jeep as the all-new Wrangler 4xe. For those not introduced to it yet, this is the first hybrid model that Jeep has ever made, and it remains true to Wrangler tradition: four-wheel drive, off-roading capabilities, serious torque and true power. Our location serving Cockeysville Bel Air Timonium Hunt Valley Baltimore offers the Wrangler 4xe in three trim levels. The one we cover here is the Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. This is the more off-road-oriented of the three options. It is equipped as the top trim is for the most part, including the advanced navigation system, but features smaller wheels, off-road tires, a larger axle ratio and some other small mechanical differences.
Each vehicle has National and Regional that are included in the advertised internet price. There may be additional incentives for which you may qualify (conditional). Please add sales tax, MVA tag and title fees, destination charge, and $800 processing fee (not required by law).
In terms of the exterior specifications, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe available at our location serving Cockeysville Bel Air Timonium Hunt Valley Baltimore is the same as the Wrangler Sahara 4xe and Wrangler High Altitude 4xe. It has a 118.4-inch wheelbase and measures 188.4 inches in length. The base minimum ground clearance is 10.8 inches. The height is 73.5 inches, and the width without mirrors is 73.8 inches. The standard wheels are 17.0 by 7.5 inches. These are smaller than found on the other trims, which allows for a wider tire that better protects the wheels. The 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe in Timonium is available exclusively with the Unlimited body. The Unlimited differs from the traditional body in that it has four doors and seats five. A difference between the Wrangler 4xe and non-hybrid models is that the battery pack is located beneath the rear seat, and you can simply lift that seat in order to access it. The standard cabin features a black interior with low-back cloth bucket seats. You have the option of leather-trimmed seats, which can be had in black or saddle brown. An 8.4-inch touchscreen is standard. Options include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a hardtop headliner, grab handles, cargo compartments, door sill guards and all-weather floor mats.
All Wrangler models are four-wheel-drive vehicles, and the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe in Timonium is no exception. The Wrangler Rubicon 4xe has a 4.10 rear axle ratio, which is larger than the other trims. The mechanical options available include a remote start system and remote proximity entry system. The remote start system is available as a standalone option or via the Cold Weather Group. The Steel-Bumper Group adds a front and rear steel bumper that can support numerous off-rad and trailering accessories. A trailering option adds a Class II hitch in addition to four- and seven-pin wiring harnesses, an auxiliary switch panel with four buttons and a 700-amp maintenance-free battery.
The plug-in hybrid powertrain is rated for 375 hp and 470 lb.-ft. Components include a 2.0-liter turbo i-4 engine, an eight-speed automatic, two electric motors and a 17-kWh battery pack. With the aforementioned trailering option installed, the 4xe can tow 3,500 pounds. This setup features a fuel-saving mode, can drive 21 miles on all-electric power and can reach 0-60 mph in 6 seconds.
The 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe features the Uconnect 5 infotainment system. This system provides access to any installed driver assistance technologies, such as the rearview camera system, which is standard with the Rubicon along with automatic headlamps. Options include a semi-automated rear parking system, a blind-spot monitor, a rear cross-path monitor, a forward-facing off-road camera, automatic high beams, forward collision detection, full-speed automatic braking, advanced braking assist and adaptive cruise control with stop.
