Standard capability this year includes many TRAC systems to choose from. Command-Trac 4X4 is built for rock crawling and flat towing adventures. Selec-Trac is built to switch back and forth between two-wheel and four-wheel drive as needed with no input from you. Rock-Trac 4X4 systems are there to help those of you that are doing a little light rock crawling for some fun. It has Tru-Lok electronic locking front and rear differentials and an electronic front sway bar disconnect.
You’ll have four powertrains to choose from on your new Wrangler, including an exciting new diesel option. The 270 horsepower, 295 lb-ft of torque 2.0L turbocharged engine is capable of towing up to 3,500 pounds. The tech savvy 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine with eTorque is rated at 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque for a towing performance of up to 3,500 pounds. The most basic of all the 2021 Jeep Wrangler trim levels is the Sport. On the exterior, you will find 17-inch wheels that manufacturers made from steel, skid plates to add traction on rough terrain, and automatic foglights. To add to the offroading capabilities on the exterior, there are tow hooks in the front and back in the case, you get stuck. The interior is pretty basic, especially when because the locks and the windows are still manual. You do receive a 5.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, however, that is connectable to Bluetooth systems to give you some entertainment.
The Sport S is the first of the trim levels that can make you just a bit more comfortable. The wheels are no longer made of steel to start, as they are now alloy. There is some leather upholstery throughout the interior, but it is primarily on the steering wheel. Now, in this vehicle, you have air conditioning as standard, though you still have the small, 5.0-inch infotainment touchscreen for your entertainment purposes. The locks and windows now utilize power controls for ease of access, and the windows have a slight tint to give you more privacy.
For the Sport and Sport S, some sub-trim options add on some additional features. These features, it is important to note, are available as optional without even resorting to the sub-trims, however. The names of these options that are available on the 2021 Jeep Wrangler include the Willys, Altitude, 80th Edition, Freedom, and Islander. Most of the differences are cosmetic to make the exterior, especially, more attractive. The Willys, for instance, has a new bumper and grille, while you can also opt-in for bucket seats and engine block heaters under the hood.
The Jeep Wrangler which is available at Don White’s Timonium Jeep is offered as a two-door or four-door. The Sahara is the next trim available, and its features are about the middle of the road. The wheels get an upgrade to 18-inches, and all-wheel-drive is the standard drivetrain under the entire body of your SUV. The grille and the flares on the fender are now the same color as the paint job you choose on the exterior. On the interior, you have automatic climate control and a 7.0-inch touchscreen that has smart device integration. The Altitude and High Attitude are two sub-trims with cosmetic upgrades for the Sahara.
The Rubicon is the best of the trim levels for off-roading capabilities. This trim does have smaller wheels than the Sahara as they are only 17-inches, but the tires are all-terrain. There are heavy-duty axles on the front and rear, and you can opt for 4:1 low-range gear shifting to help you clear obstacles. There is also a front stabilizer bar and differentials on the front and back of the SUV for traction control. Finally, you will even find rock rails that will protect the undercarriage of your Jeep.
The Rubicon 392 is technically a sub-trim of the Rubicon, but it is worth mentioning on its own. This is the only of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler trim levels that have a V8 engine under the hood. It also has shock absorbers that pair nicely with the two-inch lift so that you have easy driving, no matter the terrain. The exterior is styled in a specific manner, and there is a trailer towing package to allow you to keep your haul safe. The entire interior has leather upholstery, there are heated seats, and the top has power settings to lower or raise it.
